Can CURB remind me?

Yes. Tap your curb on the map, then Sweep alerts: a push the evening before and 30 minutes before it starts, on Oakland time, or put it in your calendar. An overnight sweep gets one alert around 9 PM the evening before. On iPhone, add the map to your Home Screen first.

Is CURB free?

Yes. Free, with no account and no ads, and open source on GitHub. CURB started in San Francisco; the Oakland map is built on the City's open data.

Holidays

The City's holidays.

Street sweeping stops on these holidays, and CURB's colors and alerts skip them.

The receipts

Where the data comes from

Schedule from Oakland Public Works' street sweeping map (last edited June 21, 2021), the data behind the City's Map Your Street's Sweeping; each side is placed by its house numbers. Checked against 316,353 of the City's street sweeping tickets (January 2025 to July 2026): 73.7% fall in the window shown for that side. On 217 blocks whose tickets show the odd and even days reversed, the two are swapped. 498 sides whose tickets mostly fall outside the posted window are left off the map. The posted sign always wins: temporary signs and holidays override everything here.
