The rules, in plain words.
How does street cleaning work in Montréal?
Each side of the street has its own street cleaning time on the signs: no parking for a few hours, usually one day a week, from April 1 to December 1 in most boroughs.
When does it apply?
Signs give exact dates, April 1 to December 1 in most boroughs; the map moves each date to the nearest first of a month (December 1 is left out, March 15 starts March 1, November 15 ends October 31). Also on holidays. A ticket, sometimes a tow.
What does a ticket cost?
CURB doesn't have the amount of a ticket here yet.
Can CURB remind me?
Yes. Tap your curb on the map, then Sweep alerts: a push the evening before and 30 minutes before it starts, on Montréal time, or put it in your calendar. An overnight sweep gets one alert around 9 PM the evening before. On iPhone, add the map to your Home Screen first.
Is CURB free?
Yes. Free, with no account and no ads, and open source on GitHub. CURB started in San Francisco; the Montréal map is built on the City's open data.
The City's holidays.
CURB keeps the rules on these days too, to be safe. The posted sign has the final word.

Where the data comes from
Read sign by sign from the City of Montréal's parking sign inventory (Signalisation, updated daily, CC BY 4.0): each street cleaning sign goes on the nearest street side of the City's Géobase within 15 m, and a side shows every rule its signs post. The inventory is thin in Lachine, Saint-Laurent, Montréal-Nord and Saint-Léonard and nearly empty in LaSalle and Verdun; Pierrefonds-Roxboro and L'Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève have no street cleaning. The sign on the street wins. The posted sign always wins: temporary signs and holidays override everything here.
